Looking for a great summer volunteer opportunity that’ll really help kiddos in Vermont? On Friday, August 16th, Outright Vermont needs support setting up for Camp Outright!

Camp Outright is a six day/five night residential summer camp program for queer, trans, questioning, and allied youth. Outright Vermont welcomes folks from throughout the US and beyond, with campers that range from ages 13 to 17 and counselors-in-training ages 18-19. Those who identify as LGTBQ+ as well as straight allies are welcome.

The camp takes place at Common Ground in Starksboro, VT and we’re looking for a team of volunteers who can help out with setup. The time commitment is roughly 2:30 – 5:30 pm and a team of 7-10+ would be ideal.

The setup will include the following:

  1. Move bunks around the camp (They are big an awkward, as a warning!)
  2. Unload materials from cars
  3. Organize workshop materials room by day/workshop block
  4. Blow up the giant unicorn floatie by the pond (Heck yeah!)
  5. Hang up decorations in the dining room (posters, pictures, flags, etc.)

For questions, or to sign up, reach out to Sabrina and Lisa right away.

We want you to bring all the rainbows and sparkles for the 70 youth heading to camp!

In the words of Outright Vermont’s Development Director, “You can bring all the rainbows and sparkles for the 70 youth heading to Camp. Thank you so very much!”
