As we celebrate Women’s History Month, it’s incredibly important to highlight organizations dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs. Recently, Darlene Flagg, VP Marketing was a keynote speaker at the 2022 “EntrepreNewHer” Conference, hosted by the Women of Our Infinite Company (WOIC). WOIC is a group, led by Founders MaryGrace Anasco and Rain Rubio, providing support, opportunity and leadership for women entrepreneurs in the financial industry to help build their business. After graduating from the University of North Carolina in 1987, Harry Archer sold newspaper ad space to pay the rent while he looked for his true calling. That’s how he met National Life affiliated general agent Brant Snavely.
Seeing ambition in the young man, Snavely recruited Archer to join his agency: “I was trained in the business by a lot of really good National Life people,” Archer reflects. “One thing I learned was that when you’re working with a client, looking at your compensation is the very last thing you do. You come up with a solution and you do the right thing, and the compensation will take care of itself.”(more…)
General Agents (GAs), the leaders of our Affiliated Channel agencies, kicked off 2022 recently in Dove Mountain, Arizona.
It had been too long since these key representatives of our company were in each others’ company, and the laughter could probably be heard all over the mountain.
The spirit was heightened by Rebecca Dunne and Frank Lucia, who co-hosted the awards ceremony complete with lively banter and “fun facts”, like the origin of the name Dove Mountain (it’s in the Tortolita Range…which translates to little turtle dove. Now you know.)
Another fact: the Affiliated Channel had an incredible 2021 and are reconnected and revved up for 2022.(more…)
