The L&A Solutions team reunited in Montpelier last week for the first time since its inception in 2015! Teammates from the Texas campus and those who work remote flew (and drove!) to Montpelier for a week full of festivities and making connections.

Recently, National Life was presented with an award and an award nomination from the Vermont Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). ESGR, a Department of Defense office, develops and promotes employer support for Guard and Reserve service by advocating relevant initiatives, recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of applicable laws, and resolving conflict between employers and Service members.

Recently, the New Business and Underwriting teams had their first ever combined Summit. Over 170 teammates gathered, some visiting the Vermont campus for the first time, to celebrate an amazing year so far and the monumental move into the new platform, Ascend. There were several sessions that were held to grow knowledge and create opportunities for connection.

This August, the CFO team gathered in Vermont to celebrate each other, share ideas, and even have a little good old fashioned carnival fun. Texas and remote teammates joined their Vermont colleagues and became twenty-seven strong.

Last week the first of its kind Build Summit was hosted by co-founders Neandre Broussard and James Dean. This is the first time in National Life’s 174-year history that an event like this occurred. Neandre called it historic, and participants all agreed.

The CFO Team held their “Dunk For Good” event on the back lawn of the Vermont campus recently. Mike Crawford and Eric Sandberg took the plunge a total of 57 times! Every dunk counted towards helping two great organizations and the children and families they support.
