Plant a Pinwheel Garden to Honor Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is nationally recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month and YOU can get involved.

Prevent Child Abuse Vermont (PCAVT) invites you, our Vermont colleagues, to join in raising awareness this April by planting a pinwheel garden in your community to honor Child Abuse Prevention Month.  National Life Group is a longtime supporter of Prevent Child Abuse Vermont, a non-profit organization that has served families and children in the state for over 40 years. Their mission is to promote and support healthy relationships within families, schools and communities to end child abuse.

You can support PCAVT in many ways from volunteering to wearing blue to raise awareness of their good work. Find out how you can support PCAVT by visiting their website.

For our Texas colleagues, Family Compass is a nonprofit organization in North Texas that is committed to building healthy families and preventing child abuse and neglect. National Life has supported the Family Compass program “Growing as a Parent” for the last several years. The program addresses the significant need for intensive services for teen/young mothers and their children while also addressing the health and development of children of young parents living in poverty.

You can get involved with Family Compass today to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Child Abuse Prevention month is nationally recognized, so regardless of whether you’re in Vermont, Texas or any other state, you can still get involved with your local nonprofit that supports child abuse prevention.

Our paid volunteer time is one of the great ways National Life gives back to the communities where we live, work and play. Do good, Be good, Make good is not only engraved in the granite pillars of the Vermont campus, it’s also embedded in our secret sauce: YOU.
