NLG ESG big hit at recent conference

Our teammate, Head of IT New Business Magesh Elangovan, recently participated in a panel discussion hosted by iPipeline, National Life Group’s partner for over a decade in implementing our iGo-eApp as well as our latest transformation program of Ascend. Ascend is a $100 million multi-year transformational platform that digitizes policy applications.

The event was iPipeline Connections 2023, held March 13th and 14th at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The panel was focused on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) activities at National Life. As a tech company that has innovated how life insurance companies do business, iPipeline is naturally interested in how to do business sustainably.

ESG is a natural fit with National Life’s do good culture and overall approach to business, taking care of policyholders and teammates alike. Magesh had the opportunity to talk about our do good culture and the community events we support, such as partnering with Sodexo to prepare and give away 1,300 Thanksgiving meals this past year, hosting a holiday event for homeless families with Vogel Alcove in Dallas, and Share the Good, which yielded over $700,000 in matched donations to employees’ charities of choice.

“The session went well very well, and everyone appreciated what we were doing from an ESG standpoint,” Magesh said. “The most interesting fact is many people who I did not know stopped by on the day of my session and the following day congratulating on what we serve as ‘Do Good, Be Good and Make good’ for both our customers and community.

“From the iPipeline Executives (CE0, COO) to many other insurance companies that represented in the conference, our NLG story and what we serve for the community stood out as a strong message.”

A huge thank you to Magesh for representing National Life so beautifully!
