National Life and Sodexo to Host Community Holiday Meal

With a cause like helping end childhood hunger in Vermont, it seems to only make sense that we help feed people as part of our overall plan. So that’s what we aim to do.

On Thursday, December 19, National Life is teaming up with Sodexo to provide a free holiday meal to clients from four local nonprofits that support kids and families. The intention is to invite our neighbors to our “house,” offer them a warm welcome, a delicious, hot meal, and a chance to relax. Sodexo has generously offered to provide enough food for 250 people. Green Mountain Transit will run a special bus route to help people get to our campus. And Cabot Cheese sent 300 individually wrapped squares of cheddar we’ll include in a take-home bag for each family.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a visit while members of our Executive Management Team serve dinner. We’ll also have a Kids Zone, fully supervised so parents and guardians can enjoy their meal while their kids are having fun.

This is a pilot year; we’ll assess how well this goes but we hope to make it an annual tradition.
