Will I get a 1099-SA tax form since I participate in the HSA Plan?

When you use the funds from your Health Savings Account (HSA), HSA Bank, a division of Webster Bank, must report all distributions on Form 1099-SA. If you participated in 2019 in a high deductible health plan with an HSA, you might receive Form 1099-SA.

You will not receive this form if:

  • You did not withdraw funds from your HSA in 2019
  • You did not have an HSA in 2019

If you did use funds from your HSA, you can log into myCigna.com, click on Manage HSA, and you will see a pop-up regarding the HSA tax forms. If you did not see a pop-up or if you have pop-ups blocked, hover over Accounts on the tool bar, click on Statements, and if you have a 1099-SA for 2019 it will appear in the column on the right side of the screen.
