On Sunday, November 1st a team of National Life volunteers collaborated with The Vermont Agency Financial Advisor, Megan Hand at The Shaw’s grocery store in Waterbury, Vermont to host another Feed Your Businesses. Feed Your Neighbors event.
Jessica Russo, Megan Hand, Kris Clark, Jessica Ball, and Bill Robie were at the event which officially kicked off at 1:00pm. Within the first 1.5 hours, 50 National Life reusable bags were handed out. Participants loved the bright green reusable bags purchased by Frank Lucia for the event. Individuals shopped for nonperishable food items and hygiene products which were donated to our Do Good Cupboard in Montpelier. Individuals who donated items were given a downloadable version of our Ending Hunger Cookbook as well as entered into a raffle to win gift cards to local businesses.
In total 20 boxes of non-perishable food items and hygiene products were donated for the cupboard, $20 in monetary donations, and Megan collected three dozen contacts. A frozen turkey was also donated that Megan will donate to the food shelf.
