We Filled Our Van for Our Neighbors

On Saturday, a team of National Life group volunteers chose to spend a few hours of a gorgeous autumn day helping collect much-needed food and necessities for at-risk Vermonters.

Working in partnership with Megan Hand, a financial advisor from The Vermont Agency, the team set up two collection points in Williston to receive donations to stock the shelves of the Do Good Cupboard. Megan also offered donors the chance to enter a raffle for gift cards to local restaurants and access to Ending Hunger: A Community Cookbook which is now available on nationallife.com.

After two hours, the group filled the National Life minivan with donated goods. They also received $70 in cash donations and Megan collected more than three dozen contacts.

Special thanks to Kelly Fournier, Lisa Muller, Laurie Trombly, Emma Rohan and her husband Brendan, Sandy Colvin, Celine Castonguay, Rhea Hasson, Steve Wallach, Jessica Ball and Jess Russo for helping us Feed Our Neighbors.
