Rising to the Challenge

By Chris Graff

Once again we can shout from the rooftops that National Life is very much open for business – thanks to you.

I have loved looking at everyone’s new offices. You can see them all on the home page of National Life TODAY.

Check out Sienna Haynes (top) with Gustav the tortoise ready to take your calls. And then there is Charlie Maitland’s – with a message about recycling from our recycling czar. His monitor is perched on a cardboard box saved from recycling. And I like Laurie Barnett’s grandfather’s rolltop desk. And David Soccodato shared a photo of the classroom he and his wife have set up for their two children.

Today’s office of the day photo is of Sara and Josh Akers (left). Sara is a new business case manager and Josh works in the payment center. Sara’s caption: “A fun shot of me already annoying my husband at 8:30 this morning.”

One thing is clear from all of your photos: National Life’s new offices are pet friendly. We might say pet dominated.

Email your photos to Communications@nationallife.com.

We are hearing only good things about how operations continue.

Greg Teese emailed that ESI is “fully operational with calls and business being handled from people’s homes – it is critical we continue to handle trades and customers’ questions/concerns during this very volatile period in the financial markets! Our service levels have not dropped as a result of WFH.” Thanks, Greg. I would love to hear from others across the company on how things are going.

I leave you tonight with another sign of the creativity of our National Life teammates. Matt Cottrell has come up with a song about Coronavirus – and like everything else at National Life there is even a mention of toilet paper! You can watch and listen here:

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING!
