New Year of Volunteering Is Under Way

Our Do Good volunteering efforts are already well under way for the new year.

A number of teams have been out in the community already in January contributing some of their 40 hours of paid time off to nonprofits.

If you are involved with a nonprofit or no one that needs help recruiting, volunteers, please let them know that we’re happy to help. The Volunteer Committee does its best to find National Life teams to send out.

Here’s one request that we’re trying to help fulfill.

The Montpelier Senior Center is looking for volunteers to help with stuffing envelopes later this month.

Volunteers would be adding an appeal for donations into just over 3,000 water bills. The group will be meeting at Montpelier City Hall on January 28th for roughly a 6 hour block. We’re looking for 2 groups of volunteers to split this time into 3 hour blocks.

The more, the merrier! Invite your colleagues, friends and family along to help! Contact Chet Cienkowski to sign up.

Come help Montpelier Parks and Recreation set up for “Ice on Fire”, their annual celebration of winter. Volunteers will be building a winter village with igloos, a giant tree maze, snow art and more! Available times are listed below – be sure to dress for Vermont winters! Contact Alec Ellsworth to sign up.
