National Life Foundation Helps Restore Burlington Community Center

The National Life Group Foundation provided a grant to Champlain Housing Trust to restore the O.N.E. (Old North End) Community Center in Burlington which was a school built in the early 1900s.

The Center now houses a number of vital organizations including AALV (African Americans Living in Vermont), The Family Room (a child care center that cares for many New American children), and the Very Merry Theatre.

To thank us for our generosity, they affixed signs near the elevators our funding helped install with our name as well as this sign which is at the entrance to the all-abilities playground. Glen was a person who used to work there until he died suddenly. Everyone loved him for his kindness so sharing this sign with him is an honor.
