NLG Audit is excited to announce the following recent promotions on both our Financial and Operational Audit (FinOp) and Information Technology Audit (IT Audit) teams:
Rob Clifford has been promoted to Senior IT Auditor Consultant on our IT Audit team. Rob has been with NLG Audit for 8 years and came to NLG with a strong and diverse background in public accounting, IT auditing and consulting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). Rob is also an ELI alum and can be counted on to apply those insights to our daily work and longer-term planning. Rob has played a key role in promoting continuous improvement in the IT control environment here at NLG.
Brooke Codling has been promoted to the role of Auditor on the NLG FinOp team, where she has excelled in the role of Associate Auditor for 3 years. Brooke recently completed her MBA and is currently studying for her CPA exams. Brooke’s history with NLG Audit began as an intern in 2017. Brooke rises to every challenge presented to her and is continuously expanding her skill set. Her can do attitude is an incredible asset to NLG.
Kristen Cooper, CPA has been promoted to the position of Audit Director. Kristen has been with NLG Audit for over 6 years, bringing with her great insight from her 9 years at KPMG. Kristen heads up the FinOp team and has proven herself a great coach and leader as she manages a busy audit schedule and key deliverables associated with our Model Audit Rule compliance and partnership with PWC. Kristen leads by example and is a great inspiration and teacher to her staff, always keeping the team innovating and improving!
John Kords has been promoted to Senior Internal Auditor on the NLG FinOp Audit Team. John has been with NLG for 23 years, starting in Contract and Licensing. Before joining NLG Audit 5 years ago, John also worked as a Business Analyst and as an Equity Trader. John’s knowledge of systems and company operations, combined with his aptitude in Alteryx, and recent “Alteryx Designer Core” certification are invaluable to the team!
Melissa Taft, CISA has been promoted to Audit Director. Melissa leads the IT Audit team, and at times was the IT Audit team! Melissa began her career at NLG in IT 37 years ago. She has garnered vast knowledge of our systems, our evolving IT space and emerging technology, our vendor partners and our IT processes. In recent years Melissa has been a driving force in building out an IT Audit team that works closely with IT to enhance the control and security environment at NLG. Melissa has proven herself not only as a talented team leader, but as a trustworthy partner to the business. She exemplifies the mission of internal audit by adding value with every engagement.
