A successful IT organization is built upon the foundation of a strong infrastructure. Over the last 7 years, under Michael’s leadership, we have made tremendous strides in our infrastructure space through cloud, mainframe, telecom, and data center enhancements. In 2020, Michael’s passion for service was evident when he silently led the effort to move us all to work from home within 24 hours. I am delighted to announce Michael’s promotion to Vice President of IT Shared Services.
Michael’s journey in IT has taken him through various leadership roles over the last 20 years at Weidmann Electrical Technologies, Kennametal, USCIS and most recently serving as the CTO for the State of Vermont before realizing that his true calling, and second family, were at National Life.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Lyndon State College and a Masters in IT Management from Champlain College. He lives in Newport, VT with his wife Shelly, daughter Jenna, and 4-year old black lab Wyatt. Being a true Vermonter at heart, Michael is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, and even restoring automobiles when he is not dabbling with technology.
