Matt Brockett of Business Continuity Team Awarded Kudos

Matt Brockett of the Business Continuity team was presented a Kudos Award, the first to be awarded virtually.

And the award recognized the work Matt has done to help move National Life to a virtual workplace since the coronavirus pandemic struck.

The award was placed at Matt’s desk on the Vermont campus. Matt is at the top left in the screen shot at top.

Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, Matt has consistently delivered exceptional customer service as a committed member of the (Corporate Emergency Response Team),” his Kudos nomination read. “Matt attends numerous meetings among CERT members, People Center, Law, and various business areas several times each week. He always juggles the information, eloquently crafts messages, and provides a calm and steady presence during very stressful times.”

The Business Continuity team helped to implement and guide the shift to remote work, but also has  implemented protocols for those whose work required them to be on campus throughout the virtual work arrangement.

And now Matt and the team oversee the gradual return to campus that started in July, working with everyone who will be affected by policies.

“Only after he gets their feedback, will Matt put out a draft product and ask again for review. He truly has a growth mindset in all projects that he works on and is always inclusive of those around him,” the Kudos nomination says.

Fittingly, the Kudos award was the first to be presented virtually over a Teams conference call.
