On Friday, June 14th some of our Texas teammates joined together to participate in the Gunny Golf Tournament in Dallas. This event, sponsored in part by National Life, is in honor of R. Lee Ermey (a.k.a. Gunny) who was tirelessly devoted to the military and to our veterans.
The Gunny Golf Tournament supported Homeless Veteran Services of Dallas this year, a registered 501c3 located near the Dallas VA hospital and run by Gunny’s friend and fellow Vietnam era marine Ken Watterson.
Four Texas team members made up our NLG golf team including Chad Smith, Tammy Stovall, Charles Jones, and David Wen. They shot par for the course. Though they did not make it to the top three, they enjoyed the informal, relaxed, fun, event – and the sunshine!
