The flu shot: Your best bet for avoiding influenza. Receiving a flu vaccine often protects you from coming down with the flu. And although the flu shot doesn’t always provide total protection, it’s worth getting.
This year’s annual flu shot will offer protection against three or four of the influenza viruses expected to be in circulation this flu season.
In Vermont at the National Life Health + Wellness Center, you can get your flu shot from 12 pm to 3 pm on the following Tuesdays, or during your physical:
- October 22nd
- October 29th
In Texas in Green Mountain on the 8th floor, you can get your flu shot from 9 am to 4 pm on the following days:
- October 22nd
- October 29th
If you are going to miss the clinics in Texas or are a virtual employee, you can go to a local pharmacy that offers the flu vaccines to have them administer it. They will need to submit to your Cigna insurance as a preventive visit, not as a prescription. You can reach out to Cigna if you have any questions.
