Covid-19 has put a stop to most of our organized volunteer activities. But that didn’t stop individuals from participating in this weekend’s annual Green Up Day efforts in Vermont.
Jessica Ball, of the Field Services team, reports that she got involved with the annual litter cleanup efforts in Montpelier.
She and a couple of friends get together every weekend for a long walk through town.
This past week, Jessica prepared in advance, collecting the special green bags that the Green Up Day organizers hand out for collecting litter.
And then during the weekly walk, Jessica and friends did their part by picking up trash.
Jessica also reports that when she picked up the bags from the Montpelier Green Up coordinator a photographer from the Times Argus got a picture, which is here.
