The following announcement was distributed by Director of Financial Reporting Eric Kucinskas on March 4, 2022:
I would like to give a shout out to each member of the ESI (Equity Services) financial reporting team for completing some major personal milestones during the past few months.
Both Jaired Stewart and Carrie Fox were recently promoted to Accountant II.
Jaired was initially hired directly out of college and began his NLGroup career journey as an accounting technician on the Corporate Accounting team. Subsequently, Jaired joined the financial reporting team in late 2018 and immediately jumped into the fray and added value. In addition to his daily responsibilities for ESI, Jaired has worked on other financial reporting tasks such as STAT reporting and expense analysis. He is the team’s resident Alteryx guru, and has proven himself to be quite adept at learning and communicating complex financial concepts. Jaired also recently passed his FINRA SIE and Series 99 exams.
Carrie joined the ESI financial reporting team from Cabot Creamery in late 2018. Carrie’s poise, professionalism and can-do spirit were immediate assets. Despite not coming directly from an accountant role in her previous position, Carrie proved to be a self-sufficient and inquisitive learner. In addition to her role on the ESI team, Carrie is responsible for most of the day-to-day processes and financial reporting related to the pension plan, which includes managing the support and requests needed for the annual audit. Carrie has also recently passed her FINRA SIE and Series 99 exams.
It is also my pleasure to announce that Jessica Kriewald is now a licensed CPA. Jess did the hard part first and passed all four parts of the uniform CPA exam prior to joining National Life in 2018. However, in order to be fully licensed as a CPA, there is also a 150 hour education requirement; so Jess went back to school and received her MBA from Champlain College, with flying colors, late last year. In 2020, Jess assumed my role as FINOP (Financial and Operational Principal) of Equity Services; a role she has fully embraced and made her own. I truly appreciate her input and collaborative spirit.
I couldn’t be more proud of this team’s accomplishments. Please join me in congratulating Jess, Carrie and Jaired and wish them continued success in the future.
-Eric
