Our Share the Good campaign is is going strong but we still have a long way to go to meet our $250,000 goal so that we can donate a total of half a million dollars to the nonprofits that YOU care about! You can still give between now and November 30th, 2018. Two colleagues, Karen Elliot & Adria Halstead-Johnson, tell us why they share the good…
“I’ve always chosen St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for the children and families, ASPCA or a shelter for the animals that do not have a forever home, and I alter my third pick between foundations that hit home – Susan G. Komen – my mom is a breast cancer survivor, Alzheimer’s Foundation – we lost my dad long before he passed away because of Alzheimer’s, Wounded Warriors – that goes without saying.”
– Karen Elliot, Team Lead, Commissions
“For two years now I have chosen the same non-profit: Dream On Curls in Springfield, VT. I chose them for two reasons: 1) They work with physically and/or mentally challenged people with the horses that live there; and 2) The horses are a special and rare breed called North American Curly Horses. These horses are hypoallergenic so it allows folks who are allergic to ‘regular’ horses to participate in the wonderful rejuvenation that riding and caring for horses can give to them. The horses are near and dear to my heart as well as I’m allergic to horses and we used to breed them. We still own a few at our farm. I love that this is a local to Vermont place that is contributing to the well-being of Vermont’s people!”
– Adria Halstead-Johnson, Underwriter
