We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Business Continuity Awareness Week (May 15-19) than getting yourself up to date on National Life’s current Business Continuity Management (BCM) efforts. As you may already be aware, the Corporate Business Continuity Management team has been steadily evolving our approach to all things Business Continuity over the past year plus.
We recently updated the Business Continuity Management info available on the National Life Employee Portal to reflect some of the improvements we’ve made, including:
o Our executive-approved Business Function Prioritization Model
o Our new approach to Business Continuity Planning & Testing
o A strong collaborative partnership with NLIT
o Archer and Everbridge: Best-in-class tools to support our BCM efforts
If you’re wondering exactly what Business Continuity is, and why National Life spends time and effort to thoughtfully develop Business Continuity Plans, please check out this brief, humorous, and informative YouTube video created by the Department of Homeland Security (you’ll want to open this in Google Chrome).
We encourage you to check out our recently updated info on the employee portal, and as always if you have any questions at all about Business Continuity now or in the future please don’t hesitate to contact us directly:
