The T.W. Wood Art Gallery is a small non-profit community arts organization located in Montpelier. They’re looking for the following volunteers:

  • A volunteer newsletter editor to help produce and send out a bimonthly e-newsletter. The volunteer with review, edit and send the newsletter using Mailchimp. Most of this work can be done off site. Estimated volunteer time is four hours per month.
  • Gallery greeters are needed to welcome visitors, offer quick tours and run the gift shop. Two or four hour shifts are available.
  • Help the gallery hang art in preparation for art shows. Gallery exhibits are hung on Saturday mornings on a bimonthly basis and takes about three hours. You would work with at least one other volunteer.
  • Like working with children? The gallery needs guest artists and helpers for the After School Arts program and summer art camps. Both the After School program and camps occur on weekdays in Montpelier.
  • Join the Arts Education Committee. The gallery is expanding their educational program opportunities for children and adults. They are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with creative minds who want to help develop the fall schedule of art activities. You will work on a team to develop and plan art classes, art Talks, film showings and more. Help is also needed researching interesting art exhibitions for art excursions, locating workshop teachers and developing ideas for new classes. Work can be done independently.
