There are a few nonprofits who are in need of volunteers this month.
YMCA- Camp Abnaki Clean Up Weekend
Join us for a day (or two) of projects and fun at camp.We need your help getting camp ready for our spring rental season.
Who: Any alumni and friends of camp. Children are welcome.
Where: Camp.
When: Friday May 19th through Sunday May 21st.
You can come anytime and stay for as long or as short as you like.
What: A work weekend. Help us get ready for the spring/summer seasons.
Why? Because we want future campers to have the same great experience you or others have.
How much? Free for those who “Help the Other Fellow.”
Projects may include:
1.Property renovation projects
2. Painting
3. Vacuuming/sweeping
4. Moving equipment and supplies to spring locations
5. Putting in the stick docks
6. Mulching trails
7. General camp clean up
8. Raking

Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity
Painting, exterior insulation, and trim work are in progress at the Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity Passive House Build in East Montpelier.
We are on schedule for completing the house by mid-June and are looking for community volunteers to help!
We are looking for crews of 5-8 volunteers to help install exterior metal and wood siding for an Exterior Siding Party on the following days:
Monday May 22nd, Tuesday 5/23 & Thursday 5/25
Thursday June 1st , Friday 6/2 & Saturday 6/3
Monday through Friday 6/5-6/9
No experience is needed; you will be working under the instruction of CVHFH site supervisors. Bring work gloves, sun hat, water and food and wear closed-toe shoes. Wearing layers, warm coat and bringing plenty of water is highly encouraged. Bring simple tools if you have them: knife, measuring tape, hammer, belts, pencil, earplugs and eye protection and other small site hand tools. If you don’t, tools and safety equipment are provided.
