We are pleased to announce the completion of the café lobby wall and restroom renovation project here on the Vermont campus. The temporary construction barrier came down today.
Take a close look at the wall which is made of Vermont marble from the Danby Quarry (https://www.vermontquarries.com/danby-quarry) and you’ll notice that it is made entirely of sections from one large piece of marble.

The project was a team effort. Kudos and thanks to Kelly Fournier for the daily oversight and project management, and to a number of other Facilities team members (Joe, Fred, Pierre, Ansel, Derrick, Charlie, Dave, Chris, and others) who provided input, ideas, and occasional troubleshooting to give us a project we can all be proud of.
Also a big shout out to our general contractor EF Wall (and specifically foreman Bruce Haines) who did a fantastic job and was a great partner throughout the construction process.
