Over the next few months our desktop team will be switching all Wyse devices out for a newer model. The work will happen outside of work hours and we expect zero impact. The only thing you should notice is a different Wyse desktop and better performance. You will be able to log onto your Citrix VM and get to work the same as always.
The new device will have the following improvements:
- High-definition Skype audio and video experience
- A USB 3.1 port, which can transfer data about 10 times as fast as USB 2.0
Lastly, users can access ServiceNow, Outlook, Skype for Business, and other XenApp Applications from the desktop menu, without logging into the VM. This means that even if you don’t use a VM for work, if you are ever in need of these applications you can get to them on any Wyse device.
