Halloween is right around the corner and we have some fang-tastic festivities planned, thanks to the National Life Spirit Committee.

Here are the details:

Monday, October 28 – Guess how many candies are in the Halloween jar. The closest guess will take home the jar on Friday, November 1.Submit your guess by Thursday, October 31st.

  • VT – the candy jar will be located in the main lobby.
  • TX – candy jars will be located in common areas of the 8th, 9th, 11th and 14th floors.

Tuesday, October 29 – Orange and black day. Wear your most festive Halloween attire!

Wednesday, October 30 – Pumpkin carving contest. Bring in your best work to be judged by your peers. A survey will be posted on National Life Today for both campuses to vote on their favorites. Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Register by October 28th.

  • VT – A display table will be located in the cafeteria. To register, contact Brittany Bernier.
  • TX – A display table will be located in Rio Grande. To register, contact Ashlyn Solizadair.

Thursday, October 31 – Costume contest and parade. Show off your individual and team costumes in our annual parade. A survey will be posted on National Life Today for both campuses to vote on their favorites. Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category. Register by October 28th.

  • VT – To register, contact Christina D’Agostino. Participants should check into the Blue Jay conference room between 9:00 – 9:45 am ET. The contest will begin at 10:00am ET in the cafeteria.
  • TX – To register, contact Morgan Hopkins. Participants should check into Rio Grande between 9:00 – 10:00 am CT. The contest will begin at 10 am CT.
