National Life has been recognized again for its commitment to employing veterans and active members of the military.

The company was presented the Extraordinary Employer Support Award by the Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). The award was created to recognize sustained employer support of National Guard and Reserve service.

ESGR’s awards program culminates with the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, which is the highest recognition given by the federal government to employers for their outstanding support of employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.

Each year, Guard and Reserve members have the opportunity to nominate their employer.

This year, National Life was nominated by Chris Tanguay, a National Life employee who is currently part of a year long deployment for the U.S. Army Cyber Command.

A national selection board comprised of senior Department of Defense officials, business leaders, and prior award recipients select up to 15 employers to receive the Secretary’s prestigious award.

National Life takes pride in its support of the members of the military and the ones who choose to work with us.
