This week, our Texas teammates proved that there’s no place quite like Texas for the holidays!

Everyone who works in Addison was treated to a huge spread of holiday cheer at the nearby Renaissance Hotel at the annual holiday luncheon on Thursday.

CEO Mehran Assadi took the opportunity to thank everyone for their contributions to National Life’s success over the past year and to wish them and their families happy holidays, calling employees the “special sauce” of National Life Group. Angela McCraw, Bill Whitsell, Mark Benjamin, Matt Frazee, and Achim Schwetlick all spoke briefly as well.

The Crystal Ballroom was dazzling with “winter wonderland” and snowflake decor, complete with red and green lighting, snowflake projectors on the ceiling and walls, and ornaments projected by special stage lights.

The delicious buffet featured turkey and glazed ham and was accompanied by all the holiday fixin’ favorites like stuffing, veggies, salads, and mashed potatoes…and, of course, dessert!

 

Everyone had a great time from beginning to end, starting with gingerbread decorating kits that were set up in the foyer outside of the ballroom before the buffet began. The fun didn’t end there though! The event also boasted a photo booth with backdrop and props and a candy gram table.

What a fun and festive day it was!

The holidays arrive on the Vermont campus next week. The holiday luncheon in Montpelier is on Thursday, December 13th.
