Over the past year, 248 National Life employees have volunteered their time at the Vermont Foodbank.
They’ve given a total of 601 hours of their labor. During that time, they sorted and packed 194,556 pounds of food, the equivalent of 162,130 meals.
The Foodbank is just one of the many examples where National Life employees contribute their talent and work to charitable organizations in both Vermont and Texas. And of National Life’s own contribution by giving all of us up to 40 hours a year to volunteer.
It’s a tremendous gift that charities can count on from National Life. And this year, the National Life Foundation wants to reward both the volunteers and the organizations they work at.
The volunteer committee will compile a list of all the employees who have used their full allotment of 40 hours for the year by Dec. 15.
Those names will be put in a drawing for five gifts of $200 to the employee’s favorite charity.
The goal is to honor and reward all the hardworking National Life employees who give their time and talents in the community to Do Good.
But the only way to make sure that you’re charity is in the running for the year-end cash is to make sure that you’ve recorded all of your volunteer hours.
Please make sure to record your hours in UltiPro, whether you’re exempt or non-exempt.
Have you forgotten to record your hours? Reach out to Joy Driscoll in the People Center if you need help.
