Employees on our Texas campus left their desks on Wednesday to do some tailgating at the annual picnic in Addison Circle.
And like with any tailgating party, it wasn’t complete without barbeque chicken, beef, potato salad and beans. And of course there were cookies for dessert, too. Employees gathered in the Addison Conference Center located near the office to join in good conversation and camaraderie.
CEO Mehran Assadi addressed the Texas campus employees, thanking everyone for the many accomplishments in 2016.
“I recognize that doing the kind of numbers we are doing comes with a lot of hard work and sacrifice and I want you to know that it’s greatly appreciated,” he said to the crowd.
In addition to the well-deserved recognition, Mehran gave a high level company update and introduced one of our newest colleagues, Achim Schwetlick who leads the Business Innovation Group, to the entire employee body – and to Texas tailgating.
After the food came the games. Employees formed teams of three to compete in traditional tailgating games like football toss, corn hole and ladder golf. It wouldn’t be a competition without winners and here they are:
