This year marks the 10th anniversary of Swing Fore A Cure – one of the American Cancer Society’s largest fundraisers.

On June 4th and 5th, supporters gathered at the Ballyhack Golf Club in Roanoke, Virginia, to partake in the charity golf tournament, with the purpose of raising funds and awareness for cancer research.

Some of the greatest golfers in the world such as, Tom Watson, Kenny Perry, Paul Azinger, Annika Sorenstam, Curtis Strange, as well as legendary Virginia Tech head football coach Frank Beamer, made a guest appearance.

This year’s event raised $286,000 to fight the disease. Todd Hearp, a National Life General Agent from Virginia, was there to present the check to the American Cancer Society.

Over the past ten years, the tournament has raised a total of 3.5 million dollars in the fight against cancer.
