It is said that Americans fear public speaking more than they fear big hairy spiders. And a popular home remedy for presentation nerves is to picture the audience nude. Toastmasters is here to dispel both of those notions.

The program helps members grow confidence in our own speaking and leadership abilities through practice with a supportive group.

National Life’s own Toastmasters club on the Vermont Campus, the Speakeasies, is coming back from summer vacation. For just two lunchtimes a month, noon to 1:00PM on the first and third Wednesdays, you can develop skills to move ahead in your career and in life, no naked spiders.

Learn all about the program at www.toastmasters.org. Become a better speaker and leader by coming to the Cardinal dining room on Wednesday, September 6 at noon.
