If you’ve watched TV or been on social media at all this week, chances are you caught a glimpse of the solar eclipse on Monday.
National Life employees on both campuses were lucky enough to be invited to a solar eclipse viewing party, where they could watch the event as it happened.
The parties were held outside on both campuses, and were complete with NASA certified safety glasses as well as eclipse-themed baked goods.
Were you wondering what to do with your glasses now that the eclipse is over?
Well you can do good by donating them.
Astronomers Without Borders are collecting glasses to give to children to use for future eclipses.
The organization is working on distributing glasses to children in Asia and South America where there will be a solar eclipse in 2019. See the story here.
If you would like to donate your pair, please drop them off at Tanya Culcleasure’s office on Executive Row.
There will be a basket on the desk where you can leave them.
