Over the weekend, Single Sign On (SSO) for ServiceNow, Box, Ultipro and NLGroup University were put into production.

All employees now have the capability to access each of these applications without having to authenticate multiple times. It’s as easy as clicking on the icons located at the bottom of the National Life Today home page.

Please note the following information regarding the recent SSO implementation:

UltiPro

•SSO for UltiPro is currently only enabled via National Life Today. Desktop or internet shortcuts will still require a username and password to log in, until additional SSO is activated.
•Upon your initial visit to UltiPro via SSO, you will be prompted to enter your date of birth and social security number to verify your identity. This will only occur once (see the UltiPro Activation Guide for more details).
•In the National Life Today Navigation under INSIDE NATIONAL LIFE > DIRECTORIES, selecting “Org Charts” or “Employee Directory” will now redirect you to just that. The implementation of SSO no longer requires the user authenticate into UltiPro and navigate to the Org Charts and Employee Directory.

ServiceNow

•You can still access ServiceNow by using the shortcut on your desktop, in addition to the icon on National Life Today.
•Rather than using your H/User ID to access ServiceNow, you will now use your National Life email address and network password. This will bring added convenience to the user experience as many other internal applications are moving to SSO.
•If you are prompted with a Logged Out page when trying to access the site, clear your browser history, close your browser and retry the same access.

If this is your first time signing in through the SSO process, you will need to perform a onetime setup. First, you will need to provide an alternate email address OR phone number where verification codes can be sent in the event you forget your password and need it reset. If you are outside of the NLG network, you will also be prompted to set up for Multi-Factor Authentication. MFA is only required when using ServiceNow outside of the NLG network. There are several options to choose from for receiving codes to enter (Phone, SMS, Authenticator App) as well as an entry free option (Authenticator App). The use of the Authenticator App is a convenient method.
