Sentinel has become dedicated to supporting the Vermont Foodbank through volunteering and, most recently, with annual CANstruction events.
And this year, the three Sentinel teams brought their creations to the main lobby on the Vermont campus to help draw even more attention to the effort.
CANstruction is a worldwide event where teams create structures out of cans full of food, which then are donated to local hunger relief organizations.
Sentinel has organized teams the past few years around Thanksgiving to create sculptures that have been themed to National Life’s own Do Good values, as well as the Vermont Foodbank.
This year’s winner was a wishing well complete with a running water fountain, lights and even mechanical fish. It was dubbed Hunger Fountain.
All three teams also raised thousands of dollars in addition to donating the thousands of cans that were used in the structures.
