Back to school time is right around the corner, and many kids are in need of supplies.
Community Partners of Dallas, a nonprofit that’s served over 20,000 abused and neglected children in the Dallas area, are looking for help in order to supply children with the necessary supplies they need to go back to school.
We’ve helped this great program in the past on the Texas campus, but this year , we’d like both campuses to participate.
We will hold a school supply drive beginning on Monday August 7th till Friday August 18th.
All of the supplies that are collected on the Vermont campus will be shipped to Texas to be given to the nonprofit.
On the Vermont campus, collections bins will be in: DMS, the People Center, and on the third, fourth, and fifth floors by the stairwells. There will be signs by the bins so they will be clearly marked.
On the Texas campus, supplies can be brought to any of the Spirit Committee members, which include: Tanya Hernandez, Candy Lovelace, Karen Sauer, Sandy Mollett, and Brittany Bolden, and Rhonda Anderson.
Here’s the list of items that are needed:
Backpacks, construction paper (9×12), manila paper (9×12), colored pencils, folders, pencil sharpeners, block erasures, glue stickers, highlighters, markers, pencil pouches(preferable not boxes), red pens, scissors.
For questions, please see Karen Sauer or Tanya Culcleasure.
