Please help us congratulate Rob Burkart and Ryan Austin from the Distribution Finance team on their promotions.
Rob Burkart has been promoted to Financial Analyst II.
Rob graduated from Norwich University with a major in Business Administration.
He began his career at National Life Group in 1988. He has been part of the Financial Management Group, IT and now DIG with the Distribution Finance Team.
Though he has had many homes at National Life, his core passion is around data and information. He provides our selling customers and our internal customers with sales and incentive data in order to make business decisions to achieve our goals.
He and the team are focused on achieving our 2020 vision by helping us all become fact-based decision makers. Rob is also embracing the future by developing his skills utilizing our new reporting tools (Tableau and Alteryx).
Rob enjoys hunting in the Colorado mountains at his home away from home. Rob and his wife, Lori, have two grown daughters, Jade and Haille.
Ryan Austin has been promoted to Financial Analyst IV.
Ryan joined National Life Group in 2010 where he started his career in the Financial Management Group as an Accountant of financial reporting and analysis.
In 2014, Ryan joined the Distribution Finance team as a Financial Analyst II. He has grown in this role and has collaborated closely with BIG and FMG in the development of distribution profitability analytics, Activist Inforce Management, and product pricing allowables.
His role as a leader in distribution profitability analytics will contribute to the organization’s 2020 goals as we continue to actively manage distribution profitability.
Ryan is a CPA and achieved his MBA at the University of Vermont while working full-time. Ryan and his wife Stephanie have a young son, Perrin, with a second child due in the fall of 2018. Outside of work Ryan enjoys exercise, time with family and friends, and being involved in church ministries.
