We are excited to announce two promotions in the Custom Innovation Group!
I am pleased to announce that Oran Blumenfeld has accepted the role of Enterprise Data Leader in addition to his current role of AVP Operation leading the Business Optimization team. This new role is a great opportunity for Oran to leverage his diverse background within operations, knowledge of the business, and relationships forged across the enterprise.
Over the past 6 years, Oran has had many roles at National Life. He spent the first 3.5 years managing all aspects of annuity operations including New Business, Call Center, and Payment Center. In 2016, he teamed up with Kristin Cook to run New Business across Life and Annuities in efforts to further unify the organization across both sites and lines of business. In 2017, Oran created the Business Optimization team within CIG with the goal of supporting growth and optimizing performance. In this role, he has delved deep into operational and financial data and been involved in many operational projects. Prior to National Life Group, Oran spent 12 years at Sun Life Financial, three of which were in IT as a Systems Analyst and the next three as the manager of the system analyst group specializing in building and implementing New Business systems.
With Oran’s experience within Operations and IT and a passion to make National Life a better place for all of us to work, I am confident that he will transition well into his expanded role.
In addition to her responsibilities with the DMS Outbound team and the Quality team, Crystal Dermody Waldo has absorbed responsibility of the DMS Inbound team. This will provide one reporting line for all of Document Management Services. Crystal has been instrumental in the success of Business Optimization and is ready to expand her leadership role and keep the momentum going.
Please join us in wishing Oran and Crystal success in their roles. All reporting changes were effective as of December 1st.
