It’s pop-up season for our LifeChanger of the Year education recognition program and we’ve been busy igniting communities as we make surprise announcements all over the country.
Just last Friday we made a surprise pop-up in New Jersey. Earlier this week the winner, who is a principal, took the time to send us a powerful thank you. In it he shared how the award “galvanized his school and his community.”
At its surface, LifeChanger of the Year provides great opportunity for those agents working in the 403(b) market. In a world where access to schools becomes more challenging by the day, providing distribution with a different angle is critical. LifeChanger is that different angle
Dig a littler deeper though and you’ll see that LifeChanger’s reach extends far beyond the walls of the school.
The K-12 recognition program has evolved over the years and in many respects could be deemed a community connection program. It’s no secret that schools are the heart and soul of a community. And one well-loved and respected nominee can prove that.
Take one of this year’s top five finalists, Pren Woods, for example. Pren’s a seventh grade teacher at a middle school in South Carolina. Over the year’s he has taught hundreds of students, leaving a lasting impression on most of them. When Pren was nominated for LifeChanger, his nomination and profile began to unite his community.
The community flocked to view his profile on our website with nearly 14,000 views to date.
Many of those views turned to active engagement when viewers converted to authors, taking the time to reflect on the difference Pren has made. Many of the 1,100 commenters are members of the greater community.
Students took to social media to celebrate the nomination. Local papers promoted the nomination, further helping to circulate it off campus.
Now multiply this by 17 because Pren is only one of our winners. We still have 16 other winners this Spring and quite a few have been announced including our grand prize finalists who will join us for COC in April.
Here’s a sneak peak of our finalists:
Spending time with our LifeChangers has shown us how much passion, purpose and conviction they have.
We never stand still with this program and are always looking for new ways to grow, provide value and engage with schools and their greater communities.
