The City of Montpelier will be hosting their annual fireworks display next week, to be launched from the National Life campus.
A safety zone will be set up around the launch site starting Monday evening at 5:30 PM and will remain closed through all of Tuesday. This includes the back road that starts at the Dewey Building and wraps around the parking garage towards National Life Drive. Any vehicles remaining on this road during this time will be towed.
In addition, the top deck of the parking garage and the main lot from the corner of the Davis Building to the front of the Dewey Building will be restricted to both vehicles and people during the fireworks display on Tuesday evening. Any vehicles left in this area will also be towed for safety reasons.
National Life will have extra security staff on duty on Tuesday evening to help maintain the necessary safety zone.
