Maggie LaGue, National Life’s own professional hockey player, will be on the ice this week competing for the National Women’s Hockey League’s Connecticut Whale.
When she’s not crunching numbers as a Financial Analyst for National Life, Maggie is putting up some serious defense on the ice. In 2018, she was the 22nd overall pick in the NWHL draft and as a result, signed with The Connecticut Whale.
The NWHL compressed its season into a two-week seasoned in a quarantined environment in Lake Placid, N.Y.
The Whale, which went 2-1 after round robin play, heads into the championship round of the tournament as the No. 2 seed.
The Times Argus published a recap of the league over the weekend. The championship will be broadcast on NBCSN.
Good luck to Maggie and the entire Connecticut Whale team.
