Our party for our 170th birthday will include all of us, our families, and retirees – including Dr. Julius Dewey himself.

We already had an introduction to Dr. Dewey at our most recent employee meeting.

He’ll be back for receptions honoring the anniversary of when the Vermont Legislature chartered National Life on Nov. 13. And we want to emphasize that these are open to all family and friends.

The festivities get under way on Nov. 7 in Texas, when the Addison campus will host a reception and open house.

All employees are invited and you’re encouraged to invite your family and members of the community to drop in, as well.

National Life’s board of directors, which will be meeting in Texas that week, has also been invited.

The following week, there will be a joint meeting of the Vermont and Texas campuses and all remote employees on the morning of Nov. 13, and the anniversary will be the subject.

Then, that afternoon, the Vermont campus will also host a reception and open house. Employees are again encouraged to invite their families, friends and community members. Retirees are also welcome.

We will have historical exhibits of the company’s 170 years of doing good and bringing peace of mind on both campuses.

Please plan to attend and enjoy yourself.
