Gertrude (Tomaszewski) Kusnerczyk, 90, of Kensington, Conn., mother of National Life’s Beverly Bocash, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 10, 2016.
She was the beloved wife of the late Francis “Frank” Kusnerczyk until his passing in 2005. Gert grew up in New Britain and attended local schools. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Guida’s Dairy for some time and also worked at the New Britain Board of Education.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she leaves her daughters: Darlene Cameron, with whom she made her home and Beverly Bocash and her husband, Buddy of Wolcott, VT; her grandsons: Jason Cameron and his wife, Brianne and Kevin Kerr; her adored great-grandchildren: Nolan, Bradley and Charlotte Cameron; niece, Evelyn Reuter and her husband David; nephews, Stephen Ostroski and his wife, Dottie and Thomas Ostroski and his wife, Marie.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Phyllis and Jean and her nephew, Donald Ostroski. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, December 15 at 8:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, New Britain.
She will be laid to rest privately. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, December 14 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
