 PURPOSE

National Life Group employees are critical in identifying and attracting talented people to our company. For this reason, NLG rewards eligible employees for referring qualified candidates who are subsequently hired for full-time equivalent (FTE) positions. Our employee referral program encourages all employees to introduce talented friends, family members, or former colleagues to career opportunities with us. We want you to love your work—and we want you to tell others all about it!

 2017 EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM

As a current employee, you are most familiar with the qualities an applicant needs to join our unique and thriving culture. Specifically: Does the individual have the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to do the job? Does she or he share our common values? Will the candidate be a servant leader? 

National Life Group is always looking for GOOD people—and we need your help. Research has shown, and our own experience supports this, that new hires who join the company through employee referrals are not only excellent contributors but they tend to stay with the company longer and are more cost effective recruits overall.

HOW IT WORKS

If you know someone who would be a strong addition to National Life Group team, please encourage them to apply online through our website powered by Taleo. Please be sure your name is added in the “Referred by” Field. If your candidate is hired you will be rewarded within 30 days of their hire date.

Program Guidelines (Revised for 2015)

  1. Referral Eligibility: All National Life Group employees are eligible with the exception of members of the Talent Acquisition team and the direct Hiring Manager of the referred individual.
  2. The referral date cannot be earlier than the posting date of the job requisition.
  3. The referral must represent the candidate’s first contact with National Life Group. Temporary, summer, contract and former employees of National Life Group are ineligible candidates for referral awards.
  4. The referring employee must be continuously employed by National Life Group for 30 days following date of hire for the referral bonus to be paid.
  5. To be eligible for an award, the referral must first be submitted online via TALEO. . This is done by the applicant-referral applying directly on-line through TALEO and entering YOUR name as the referring employee.
  6. The referring employee must agree to have his/her name used for introduction.
  7. The first employee to refer a candidate will be the only referring employee eligible for payment.
  8. Any disputes or interpretations of the program will be processed through the People Center.
  9. All referral bonus payments will be paid within 30 days of the referred employee’s start date.
  10. Referral payment will be deducted from the Hiring Manager’s cost center.
