The Barre Rotary Club is sponsoring its very first Art Splash Project, a new and exciting fundraising event that has taken off in the community.
Launched in partnership with the Vermont Paletteers, local residents and businesses are able to purchase and decorate large fiberglass sculptures that will be on display in downtown Barre throughout the summer months.
National Life’s Erin King couldn’t help but jump in on the action – not only was this an opportunity to Do Good, it was also a way for Erin and her family to get their creative juices flowing. Erin, her daughter Nelle, and her mom Pam decorated a large cat sculpture now known as “Mighty Meow”, the world’s latest superhero!
If you scroll through some of the other photos, you may also recognize another familiar face. National Life retiree John Landy (who is also a talented artist) painted a large sculpture of a dog he has affectionately named “Schatzie”.
You can find Mighty Meow, Schatzie, and other various sculptures on Main Street in Barre starting Memorial Day weekend, through the end of Labor Day weekend. The sculptures will be be auctioned off on September 18th at The Barre Art Splash Auction and Gala at the Vermont Granite Museum of Barre.
Don’t miss your chance to help the Barre Rotary Club and own an awesome piece of artwork. And thank you Erin, for Doing Good!
