The National Life Group Foundation added three new board members after the recent retirement of Chris Graff.
Nimesh Mehta has worked with the Foundation to help with efforts including the coordination of our Necessities Drive to benefit The Family Place in Addison. He and his family have a long history of doing good in the community with a focus on tackling hunger and providing domestic violence victim support. Nimesh’s inclusion on the board will provide insight to Dallas nonprofits and opportunities.
Dawn Minter has a wealth of nonprofit experience. As a current board member of the Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation, Dawn also served with Revitalizing Waterbury, the Waterbury Planning Commission, and The Children’s Room. In addition, she worked at the Vermont Land Trust, a well-respected nonprofit, before joining National Life. Dawn’s understanding of the nonprofit landscape in central and northern Vermont will be valuable to our work.
Scott Rogers has deep ties to the community. Prior to joining National Life, Scott worked at the Vermont Agency of Transportation where he effectively navigated local politics and community issues with diplomacy. Scott was appointed to the NLG Culture Fellows and has been an ally and advocate in planning and supporting numerous “Do Good” initiatives such as our 2020 Thanksgiving community meal and Do Good Fest.
Nimesh, Dawn, and Scott join the Foundation’s Chair, Tom MacLeay, and directors Mehran Assadi, David Soccodato, and Beth Rusnock.
Welcome to the team!
