CEO Mehran Assadi announced the promotion of Michael Vielleux, the interim Chief People Officer. Here is the announcement.
I am very pleased to announce the promotion of Michael Veilleux to Associate Vice President.
Michael serves as the Business Partner for the Customer Innovation Group and is currently the Interim Chief People Officer while we search for a successor for Sean Woodroffe.
Michael joined National Life in 2008 when he was asked to consolidate all of our recruiting efforts into a centralized, internal function within the People Center. The next year he moved into the role of Business Partner serving several business units, including Sentinel, Financial Management Group, Protection, and IT.
What makes Michael unique as a leader is his ability to coach, collaborate and implement strategies with a sense of urgency. In 2015 Michael was one of 14 leaders from around the organization that we brought together to design the unification of our life and annuity operations. This was a major initiative to make sure that we show up as a single entity with one face to the public looking from the outside. Michael played a critical role both on the unification team and then in the design and implementation of our Business Innovation Group, Customer Innovation Group and Distribution Innovation Group. This work gave Michael deep exposure to our business, which he has put to excellent use as the Business Partner for the Customer Innovation Group.
Please join me in congratulating Michael in his well-earned promotion.
