I am pleased to announce the promotion of Lisa Muller to Vice President and Assistant General Counsel.
Since joining National Life Group in 2008, Lisa has been a critical member of the Law and Sentinel teams. She has leveraged her skills as a thoughtful leader and a dedicated learner to successfully step into multiple roles and projects for the organization.
As lead counsel to Sentinel, Lisa has partnered on many important initiatives supporting our investment strategy, in addition to serving as legal counsel to Sentinel Investments and corporate secretary for the Sentinel mutual funds until their October 2017 sale. She has also supported the legal needs of our life and annuity business, assisting with product development and regulatory matters, including helping to navigate the many implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In June 2020, Lisa was appointed Corporate Secretary for the combined Boards of Directors of the National Life Group family of companies. As Corporate Secretary, she has become a key link between the Directors and National Life Group leadership while building out our Board education and recruiting capabilities and modernizing our corporate governance practices. Lisa’s commitment to National Life Group and our policyholders has enhanced and strengthened the Corporate Secretary function.
Lisa is a native Vermonter who resides in Moretown with her husband Jon. She takes full advantage of all that the Green Mountain State has to offer and enjoys Nordic and alpine skiing as well mountain biking and gravel road cycling.
