LifeChanger of the Year grand prize winner Ana Rubio joined members of Appreciation Financial, one of our field distribution partners, in a service project at a California school during a conference.
Appreciation held its annual Women of Wealth conference in Sacramento last week. The company invited Ana to be the keynote speaker.
And then Appreciation headed out into the community for a Do Good event.
Although Appreciation is an independent marketing agency, the company is a big believer in giving back in the same way that National Life is.
Members of the National Life team have joined Appreciation in other communities in the past, including one in Texas last year.
This time, the women who attended the Women of Wealth conference went to Ethel Phillips Elementary School in Sacramento to paint and build and generally spruce up the school.
“This is all added value to the campus and the school,” said Principal Daniel Hernandez.
Among the projects that the 75 or so volunteers undertook was painting walkways throughout the campus to give the school a more welcoming feel. And in news video of the event, there’s Ana Rubio on her hands and knees, paint roller in hand, working on one of those walkways with a big smile on her face.
