Justin Tease in the Life and Annuity Solutions team, was presented a Kudos award this week for his work expanding the company’s annual Spring Volunteer Week.
Justin only recently joined the Volunteer Committee and was quickly recruited to help organize the annual week in the spring when emp0loyees are encouraged to donate their labor at community nonprofits.
The week has always been popular. But finding ways to give employees a convenient way to sign up for shifts has been challenging.
Justin suggested using the “Doodle” app, a free commercial application that is designed to help make scheduling meetings and events easier.
The idea worked remarkably well and volunteers logged at least 1,000 hours during the volunteer week.
Besides coming up with the new registration system, Justin also worked to continually update the program to reflect when certain opportunities were filled and new ones became available.
Justin’s innovation and dedication to one of our premier community Do Good programs was a vivid example of putting the National Life servant leadership culture in action.
He was nominated for the Kudos on behalf of the entire Volunteer Committee.
